Change in entering payments in RUB

Dear Clients,
We would like to ask you to make a change in entering payments in rubles. They include the so-called VO code, which now must be entered in a modified format – (VOXXXXX). There must be no spaces, hyphens, periods, colons, or other characters between the "VO" and the numeric code, and everything must be in parentheses. The above (VOXXXXX) is followed by a verbal description of the purpose or subject of the payment in Russian, though in Roman script (please do not use Cyrillic) or in English. The description must not be entered in Czech.

The VO code and the description of the purpose of the payment are entered in the field "Information for the payee" when entering it in Sberbank Online Banking and Homebanking.

If you do not enter the VO code in the required format, a claim against your payment may be made by the correspondent bank and, as of 1 July 2021, may even be rejected by our correspondent.

Due to the higher share of automation in the processing of ruble payments, we were asked to make this change by our correspondent bank that processes these payments. For this reason, it is necessary to ensure the change in the VO code format, which is an essential requirement for payments sent in RUB.

Thank you for your understanding.
Your Sberbank
